Valdivia Roja


Hylocereus Ocamponis. Originates in Jalisco State in Mexico, this is a close relative of El Grullo. The stems are thick and has grayish coatings typical to the Ocamponis family. The stems are cold and heat hardy when compared to other varieties. The fruit has orange pink skin with small green fins. The skin is not very thick but stretchy. The flesh is firm, has balanced sweetness, not tart at all, great taste, it will only taste like beets if you chew the seeds. Brix reported at 16-19 depends on ripeness.
