Hylocereus Polyrhizus. This is one of the most popular commercial varieties in Nicaragua
Stems are green with gray coating that protect them from extreme weather. The flower is the largest of all dragon fruit flowers and is self-sterile. Cross pollination is a must. It takes 30 days from bud to bloom and 30 days to ripe fruit after pollination.
The fruit has a firm flesh that tastes like sweet raspberries, a great sweet
& sour balance. Average weight 1 Lbs. and Brix reported 19-21
A note: DNA test shows that Rosa, Cebra to be considered the same but we did see a little variation in appearance.
